A pack for every season

Butterflies, gardens, cats, and the main holidays from New Year to Christmas, all included in the license.

New pages arrive on the 1st of each month, in time for next month's calendar. One email that morning lists what's new.

The holidays

Each holiday has its own page: the drawings for it, a Story Starter, and how to run it.

  • Christmas: Seasons of Light
  • New Year: Seasons of Light
  • Activity Professionals Week: Sunday Blooms
  • Valentine’s Day: Hearts and Flowers
  • Easter: Spring Garden
  • Mother’s Day: Sunday Blooms
  • Memorial Day: stars from the Fourth of July pack
  • Fourth of July: stars, stripes, balloons, and a drum
  • Grandparents Day: Home Sweet Home
  • Halloween: Pumpkin Patch
  • Veterans Day: stars from the Fourth of July pack
  • Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving Table
  • Winter: First Snow

Six ways to use a page this week.

  • The activity table: one drawing, printed in Regular and Bold. Read the Story Starter, then let them color.
  • In someone’s room: 5 Bold pages and a pencil, left within reach, for the person who doesn’t come to the table.
  • Before meals: a Bold page at each place, so there's something to do while they wait to eat.
  • The family visit: the same drawing twice, Regular for the visitor, Bold for the person they came to see.
  • The theme hour: print a pack, pages on one theme, each with a Story Starter.
  • The long afternoon: a Bold page, a Story Starter, and a chair by the window.

How to run it

Three steps, about an hour

  1. Print both versions of the same drawing, Regular and Bold, on plain letter paper.
  2. Hand out a page or two to each person, wherever they are: the table, a lounge chair, a bedside.
  3. Read the Story Starter aloud while they color. Then wait.

Bold has thicker lines and fewer tiny details, easier to see and easier to finish. Everyone colors the same picture.

Questions

Good to know

When do new pages arrive?

On the 1st of each month, in time for next month's calendar. One email that morning lists what's new.

Can we show a page on our activity calendar or newsletter?

Yes, in print: calendars, newsletters, bulletin boards, and handouts. The license doesn't cover posting pages publicly online, including social media.

How do I run a coloring activity?

Print the same drawing in Regular and Bold, and hand pages out wherever people are, even at a bedside. Read the Story Starter once, slowly, then wait longer than feels comfortable. Never correct a memory. Sign and date the ones they're proud of.

Does the license cover independent and assisted living too?

Yes, if they share one name and one address.

How do I add another location?

Under Locations, once you have a license. Each is $149 a year, with its own invoice and its own name on its pages.
